Step 1: Sync Whoop Data to Apple Health

  1. Open the Whoop app on your iPhone.

  2. Tap More in the bottom navigation.

  3. Go to App Settings.

  4. Go to Integrations.

  5. Select Apple Health.

  6. Tap Connect and follow the prompts:

    • You’ll be taken to the Apple Health permissions screen.

    • Enable "Turn All Categories On" or select the categories you’d like to share (e.g., Heart Rate, Sleep, Respiratory Rate, Activity).

    • Tap Allow in the top right corner.

Important Notes:

  • Data that integrates into Heads Up from Whoop through Apple Health:

    • Active Energy

    • Blood Oxygen

    • Heart Rate

    • Respiratory Rate

    • Resting Heart Rate

    • Sleep

  • Syncing time depends on the metric and when data is made available by Whoop and Apple Health.

  • Active energy and heart rate data generally sync throughout the day.

Step 2: Sync Apple Health Data to Heads Up

  1. Open the Heads Up app on your iPhone.

  2. Tap the plus icon (+) in the top right corner.

  3. Select Add Source.

  4. Tap Apple Health.

  5. Tap Connect and Upload.

  6. On the permissions screen:

    • Enable the categories you want to sync (e.g., Heart Rate, Respiratory Rate, Sleep Analysis, Steps).

    • Tap Allow in the top right corner.

Once connected, data will begin syncing from Apple Health to Heads Up automatically.

Sync Timing Tip:

Heads Up typically pulls in new Apple Health data every few minutes. Once Whoop data is available in Apple Health, Heads Up will attempt to sync it using the Apple Health background observer.

To manually sync the data, open the Heads Up app and pull down on the screen to trigger a sync. If you are expecting data that is not showing first ensure the data is populating in Apple Health.
