Connecting Heads Up to Cerbo

A quick guide to connecting Heads Up to your Cerbo EHR account.

Hey, Pros!

In this article we will discuss how to integrate Heads Up with your Cerbo account.

The Cerbo integration with Heads Up allows you to easily create Heads Up accounts for your Cerbo patients and view their Heads Up data inside the Cerbo portal.

Getting Started in Cerbo - Setting up the Integration

To get started, login to Cerbo and go to Admin > Manage > Integrations.

You should see a Heads Up Health section in this view. If don't see this section, please contact Cerbo support.

Click on the + Integrate my account with Heads Up Health link and it should expand with further instructions.

Getting Your Heads Up Access and Identity Keys

Only the owner of the Heads Up organization account can access the endpoints below. Login as the owner and click the links below to obtain the corresponding information:

Copy and paste the UUID and keys in the corresponding input fields in Cerbo account.

Once you're done, click the Activate Account button and the view should refresh with a success message.

Using the Integration

Once you have completed the above setup, you should see a Heads Up button in the Patient Vitals block of any patient chart:

When you click on the Heads Up button on the Patient Vitals card, the Cerbo system , using the patients email, utilizes the Heads Up SSO process and client creation API to either:

  • Match to the corresponding patient account in your Heads Up account if they're already in your client list.

  • Create the patient account in your Heads Up account if no match is found for the patient's primary Cerbo email address.

    • By creating the patient's account via the Heads Up SSO process, you are agreeing to Heads Up Terms of Service and Privacy Policy on the patients behalf. Please confirm with the patient before doing so.

Viewing the Patients Heads Up Dashboard

For either of the above scenarios, the window should launch with the patient's chart in Heads Up Health's system:

Note: The patient's vitals data doesn't automatically sync between Heads Up and Cerbo. However, this view does let you compare everything within the patient's chart in Cerbo and more easily transfer information between the two services.
